720 crank seal

my 720 crank seal is leaking engine oil into the transmission. Can you replace the seals by just removing the clutch plates and pulley or do you have to remove the whole housing and main bearing housing. Thanks for any help

whole first reduction gear cover and main bearing housing. Not that bad of a job. I hope you can get the clutch pulley out with out having to move the wheel. I did a 730 standard one time and I had to remove the wheel and the fender.

I have just done mine - you only have to remove clutch and pulley etc. Removing the gear o the crank is bets with a good puller!
