I looking for another tractor 60 - 90+ hp. A step up
for me. has to be green. prefer synchro for
simplicity fix sake. 3020 LPG available, is fuel
tank removable like regular lp forklift, whatever or
drive tractor just down the street to lp dealer. Is
there anything to watch out for in early vs late
serial numbers. deere manuals are split. not alot
around here for tractors this size so kind of take
what you can get Thanks

It takes a bit, but you can set your home LP tank up for filling the tractor. I run 2 LP gassers. a 720 JD and an 830 Case and I really like them. I get the starting ease similar to a gas tractor with the economy of a diesel. My brother has a 720 diesel JD and we have run them side by side all day doing hay. The diesel will maybe take 5 gallons of fuel all day, at 3.50 a gallon. The LP will take about 12 gallon... but at 1.40 a gallon. The down side of the LP is that you cant carry fuel to it.

A 3020 lp would be a great tractor, friend has two 1968 models, start just as fast as a diesel. Would love to have one. You can rig up a forklift bottle if you want for yourself, shows how in the owners manual. chris

Locally, dealers will not fill a nurse tank due to insurance, except for a business. I use a forklift cylinder w/ a hose to fill the tractor tank.

I LOVE LP tractors. Have a Int 350 running, and a JD 50 work in progress. I regard it as the near-perfect tractor fuel, esp. if they don't get used all that often. LP doesn't degrade, even sitting in a tank for years.
