6410 w/ 640 loader control valve help

Looking for help to the inside of the loader control valve on a 6410 with a 640 loader. The raise and lower control valve was hanging up and gummed up inside where the detent balls and spring not allowing the spool to slide freely. The tractor has been run hard on a dairy farm in Maine with 11000 hours. I replaced the cable with new, and the loader functions good. I'm unable to get the control valve to go into float position. I've tried to a just cable with no luck either way.
Also flipped over the collar for the detent balls both ways with no change. Thinking Im missing a piece inside. John deere website keeps giving me a parts diagram but half the diagram is cutoff the screen and can't zoom or scroll over at all FRUSTRATING!

Any help or a drawing would be appreciated

What's the part number of the hyd valve you're working on? Parts photo is a AW23572

Thank you Tx Jim. I had Part #21 on the other side of the
detent balls. The lager ball an spring I had above it doing
nothing. Took it all apart and we're good to go. Thanks again

I have a kind of similar issue, have a 1998 John Deere 6410 with 2 - 200 series remotes, bought it at an auction. The remotes aren't really "right" when you use them, the cables look good, they both feel like they are in a bind and "rough" feeling and have a short distance from forward to rear movement. But the main complaint is that the float is not working in either, doesn't see to want to let me push it forward far enough, even though there is enough gap in the lever slot in the cab. I can turn the dial on top of the remote and it will go to the detent position to hold it down, but in either position on the dial I can't go forward enough to float. I have a feeling the the parts under the dial are in wrong. One of the remotes wouldn't hardly work at all when we first got it and we took it apart and wildly put it back together, the local dealer printed us off a sheet, but it was so small we couldn't hardly read it, but we guessed enough to put it back together and the remote worked as far as raising and lowering things which it didn't do before very well, we also noticed on that remote while we were in there that the ball bearings were missing as well (we did look at the other remote, the ball bearings are in there), which told us someone had been in there before and probably like us didn't know what they were doing. Anyhow, to make a long story short, can you send us legible, larger print diagram that shows the parts and parts list as well that is large enough to read easily AND any advice at all would be massively appreciated as well...

You can view the parts schematics for free at JDparts.com. This is the only other 2 spool valve in the 640 FEL PC. It's not titled 2-200 series nor do I know what 2-200 represents.

Any idea of what size ball bearings I need for the 200 series elective control valve? The JDparts diagram doesn't show it or a part # for them or anything?

You're correct that the balls in question aren't listed separately for a 200 SCV but are included in this "OVERPRICED" OH KIT. If it was my tractor I'd have dealer double check price of kit with JD home office.
AL169780 Kit - KIT, OVERHAUL SCV ADD 226.61 USD

OUCH! If I new the size of those ball bearings I could get them at a bearing shop probably...
