Currently working on a A with the same clutch
handle & small ball that has not been
lengthened out. From what I"ve figured out this
extended handle was made available for cotton
picker option. I like it.....

You"ve done a fine job on your tractor. It may
not be the way I would have done it. But it"s
your creation & it looks very nice. The one I
am creating will be name Johnny Cash tractor.
It will be a 44,45-46,47,48, 49 & 1950 Model A
The Tractor Police will have a Riot Field day
with this One....

Very nice job on that A. We used to have the exact same tractor on the ranch when I was a kid. The A was an awesome tractor we used for a lot of different operations. I'm trying to find my dad's "A" so I can also restore it. Enjoy your tractor and all the hard work you put into it.

Nice looking tractor; good work.

Keep in mind that the tractor police don't have jurisdiction any where; especially on our farm.

Thanks for sharing your photo with us.

Im confused on whos tractor it is! Is it tom43's or jer51's? Ohh
thats right its not tom43's or should I say Chief of tractor police
for the town of assbag!

I really appreciate all of the feedback, even from the police. I did not mean to start a holy war. The reason I did it the way I did was I like it and did the best given my knowledge (first restore) I tried to learn from this site and others but did not always know where to find some answers. Anyway thanks

It's your tractor, you can do anything you want. As long as you are happy with it, nothing else matters.

I am starting to go back on my first restore and redo things I did "wrong" as I have since learned better or different ways. That's part of the fun I guess.

It sure looks nice.......couple of comments.....you should fill
the holes in the front bolster with the correct hardware and you
probably know the big decals on the hood were 2 1/2 inches
back from the hood/grill seam in the new ones of that vintage,
not centered as you have them. The chrome exhaust stack is
okay but I'll bet you get tired of the noise after a while.
Clamshell fenders sure dress up a tractor I think, but if you
don't like 'em that's not wrong. You know about the clutch
handle..........nice job, whatever.......

Great job on the restoration it looks great!, I wouldn't let the correct police get to you, your gonna be out driving and enjoying your tractor along with the rest of us while they are back in their shops making sure everything on theirs is exact or on here nagging about what we did wrong!
