4020 problems on engine gas Zenith

Just wanted to know if I have overlooked anything. Tractor was running erractic and wouldn"t start. I had Zenith carb cleaned. I saw a steady stream of fuel coming from filter that went into carb. Also, the spark was good. I am planning to re-install carb tommorrow. I drained old fuel and put in new gas. Is there any other reason tractor should not start or run well?
 
Well I can think of a pretty long list.

Starting with compression,valve adjustment,plugs,points,condenser,wiring problems,lift pump,coil. I'd start at the top of that list and check them all.
 
I have a 3020 gas.. about every few years I change out all plug wires, plugs I use autolites, put in a new cap, rotor, etc. I do not have a zenith carb on my tractor. I have a carb off a alis 190 I believe is the model. Old J.D. Mechanic told me that back in the day folks figured that the alis carb was a great replacement for zenith. was easy to set up and runs great..which it does..Also replace the fuel filter AND I've also had issures with pump malfunctioning before..might check that.. most of this is easy to replace, and doesnt cost much.
