I have the IT and the JD service manuals, and there's no indication in either of how much to tighten the front axle width adjuster nuts. They are 1.25" nuts, and the front side of them looks like a drag link adjusting screw, it's not a hex head.
The nuts on both sides of my front end are what I'd consider barely tight for something that big, but for all I know, there may be a reason for that. Is there a torque spec for these posted somewhere?
