how much of a project?

I have oil pouring out from under the flywheel cover of my '57 720D with pony motor. I did some major work to this tractor to get it where it is today, but I never took the crank out. Is the seal replacement a real chore? I hope the crank does not have to come out now. I'm worried about getting a loose flywheel if I take it off again also. Any advice would be appreciated.

You might find that the drive key to the slinger is sheared off! That happened on my 720d! Oil was coming out of the cover very slow stream! Remove flywheel and check drive pin/ key! Opening up the cover you can replace the thrust washer still available. It"s not bad work!
