JD 4230 Pto stops

Have a John Deere 4230 that the pto stops when put under a heavy load. Using it to run a disc bine and it will stop spinning when getting into heavy hay. Any ideas?

How many psi measured at the pto test port ?

There is a test port on the left side of the trans case that is marked "PTO Clutch" screw the plug out and go to town and get a hose made up to screw into that port and a 300psi gauge on the other end, check it with PTO on and full to near full throttle it should have 165psi, if it's weak there also check the C1 clutch port,with trans in "Tow" position and in1,2 or3 spd,,see what you have there then check back with us..But i see a split in the picture for sure...just nice to know what you have before...
