The cable from the lever on the dash is rusted & non-functioning. JD dealer says no longer available. Any other known sources? Thanks. kelly

Try a different Deere dealer. AR26810 cable is $131.00 from Deere and $91.00 from A&I. My local dealer has it in sock.

Where do you live in Tx? Local JD dealer in Cleburne shows to have one in stock also.

That is a part that I think will always be available as every Deere with the Hyd. levers on the dash used it.You could also put yours in a bucket of diesel fuel for a week and see if you could free it up.Used ones show up on E-bay sometimes as well.

Tx Jim, my nearest dealer is in Seguin, as I live near New Braunfels. It seems to matter WHICH parts person I deal with. One seems to be able to find parts from other dealers and tell me how many are in stock, at which dealers and at least one other parts person just kinda, sorta shrugs the shoulders even when I ask them to search the system.

Consider you lucky . I had a 2010 with same problem and John Deere wanted $456.00 I soaked mine for a week and used a vise to free it

For that kind of money you could have one made. I have had cables made by Baum Hydraulics and another company near Milwaukee that i can't remember the name of right now. I can look it up if you want it. Baum will only make "standard" cables to custom length while the other one will custom make whatever you have just send them a pattern. Both were priced reasonable.

On the older part numbers with more than four digits the letter suffix is dropped now. Your part number probably had an "R" suffix on it originally but being it is has five digits the "R" is dropped. The younger parts people either don't know this or don't care. This should be a part every dealer in the United States should carry at least one of. Mike
