ebay listings

i'm so sick of looking at ebay anymore..there is about 4 or 5 differant sellers that post way to many items at once..i know you can post what ever you want, but when you go the john deere items they have 5 to 6 pages of there stuff week after week and are too high on there stuff..you finally get sick of looking....thats my opinion.

So you are tired of looking at ebay for free when the sellers are paying to list each and every item. So you want it free and your way too?

I'm more annoyed with the chuckleheads that post and post and post and post on craigslist. The ads are free, so they abuse the snot out of it. It's getting unuseable. I wish CL would start charging $3 per ad or something just to make it stop...

It was such a great resource until the jerks got onto it.

And now there's dealers there, too. They think they gotta list every item they have on the lot every three days on the 6 closest cities.

eBay sellers that think they need to list every model in the description drives me nuts. If I search for H parts I don't want to dig thru all of the listings for A parts. They are obviously not H parts. I don't visit much there anymore either.

Hi what I find more annoying is in one of my searches for farm toys, I get about 20 pages of reproduction cigarette cards pops up regularly.
It"s not even relevant to the search. Most times I don"t look through it for the one tractor that might sneak in the middle, and probably miss something good.

You can use filters to narrow your searches.

Some of the better bargains are often items that are miss labeled, are poorly described or are listed in the wrong sub-category. Using more filters over looks those mislabeled items, so fewer people know about them to bid on them. It's a trade-off of your time verses money. For hard to find or expensive items, a wider search can pay off.

Its kinda like my advice its worth what it costs. Some people make a business out of e-bay but I really don't have time or patience to sift thru all the listings.

Add "-cards, -cigarettes, -toy, -toys", etc. to your search string and weed out things you don't want to look at.

Then, when you get it tweaked to show what you want, save the search for next time.

I learned quite a bit I did not know from the smart asses posting on the different forums.
