How to get rim off a 4010

I want to remove the tire and rim from my 4010.
There are 8 bolts on the outside edge of the large heavy cast center that bolt into a fitting that grabs a groove on the rim.

I have the 8 nuts loosened---What do I do next???

This is a stupid question---I know

Thanks for any help..................

Rotate the wheel to get those ribs on the rim to the top. Makes it easier to line rim up when reinstalling.
Drive the lower bolts out first leaving the top two. You can then rock the wheel to remove the lugs. Leave the top two lugs. Lower the jack to work the rim off.

Having exact jack height will make it easier after you get wedges off. There will probably be three wedges that are drivers where they go on rim that are on a raised surface .Once the wedges are loose and removed then your wheel can be walked out if done right.Just make sure it does not have fluid as then it can be a job for two or a cherry picker.Actually it is easier with help as one can manage the jack height.

If he bolts are rusted solid into the cast center heat the head of the bolt cherry red and let it cool. You may need to do it a few times to get them out. You can't get much of a swing to drive them out.

When that happens it is darn near impossible to get them out. Unbelievable how a steel bolt can rust to a cast center.

I will also mention to clean up all hardware very good before putting back together.Make sure you tighten up all bolts evenly or it will wobble and bounce going down the road.

I had to change them on a 2520 last year. Heat helped, and a BFH did some of the work. But the easiest thing I found, even without heat, was an air impact tool. Things slid right out and the gun didn't mangle up the bolts......
