4230 Hydraulics low flow UPDATE

My 4230 with syncro trans has been a bear to trouble shoot. It has good pressure on the high side but, seems to be low flow. I called the JD tech and they tested it for me. Low side clutch pressure is low at 118 lbs. Checked pressure value out and cant find a problem. So Whats next do I suspect that my trans hyd pump is weak and not putting out enough. I at times will lose functions to remotes if I use the steering or diff lock. Pto will kick out if I let the clutch out some times. Any more easy checks before I tear the trans pump out.

Your going in the right direction, the trans pump is under the rock shaft, do you have a cab on it ? t

He checked clutch pressure, it was 118 lbs at all
speeds. and checked lube pressure. Pulled the
filter check valve and pressure relief apart and
inspected no change. Hydraulics work but has a
lack of flow for the most part. Suspect a bag
trans pump or leaking oring or lines in case
possibly. Should we do a flow check? It
definitively has a low flow. When below zero the
clutch will take longer to engage, it will kick
out the PTO when the clutch is let out and remotes
are slower. Generally they work normal for a few
seconds than slower. If i let off the remote and
use it again it works good for a sec and then very
slow. Steering use takes away use of remotes.

(quoted from post at 21:07:53 07/22/14) Cab on it, Looks like it needs to have the cab lifted to remove the rockshaft cover.

Rockshaft can be R&R with cab tilted a little forward. I would still want a flow test on trans pump before R&R of trans pump.
