4640 questions

This is my 4640, I would like to know how you tell if it has a cam driven oil pump or a crank driven pump, and what type injection pump it has.

Tractor tag is 4640P 005457R

Engine tag is 6466AR-08 045754RG

Picture of pump would not load. Tag on fuel pump is hard to read because of tractor being repainted at one time, but the pump has the injection lines in a straight line. My combine engine has the injection lines in a circular pattern.
Thanks for any help or information on it.

According to tractor SN the tractor is a '79 model which is earlier model. This was copied & pasted from 4640 PC OIL PUMP, ENGINE (6466AR) (CAMSHAFT DRIVEN) Fuel inj pump is probably a Robert Bosch

Thanks for the picture, I am pricing out reman engines, but wasn't sure which way the oil pump is driven. If it is an early tractor, I am assuming it is a cam driven pump. Is there any way too tell for sure without dropping the oil pan?

Are the crank driven and cam driven engines the same otherwise? Can a crank driven long block be used with externals from a cam driven engine, besides the oil pump?

I have a question regarding whether cam driven or crankshaft driven oil pump. Is there an engine serial number break, or tractor serial number break, or model year break, which indicates when this change took place in production? I also have a 4640 (1979 model year) and would like to know how the oil pump is driven.

Thanks, it is a cam driven oil pump, I found a rebuilt late model crank driven engine, will it bolt up in place of the cam driven engine?
