engine somking and missing

I have a 4000 ford with the 3 cylinder diesel it has a miss and it put out a white smoke that will burn your eyes what will cause it do that?

This is just a shot in the dark, but your mentioning burning eyes made me recall the acrid smell of burning antifreeze... could that be an element in the puzzle?

Check inj pump timing and pop test injectors.

You've got a bad injector, don't run it till you get it fixed, doing so will damage the piston.
