39 B cylinder head

I have a cylinder head that I believe to be cracked, and am getting coolant in cylinder # 1. Will a head from a B after serial # 96,000 fit a tractor between 60and 96,000? will an unstyled head fit instead?

I don't think a later head will fit, I know the gasket won't because they gave a set for 96000 up by mistake and it wouldn't work. I don't know about 60000 back. These 39-40 are a bit of a pain sometimes when it comes to finding parts.

Pushrod tubes leak into the crancase and valve train, not the cylinders.

A 39 B is its own animal. Head is flat but different bolt pattern than unstyled. 41 and up head will not fit either. 39 and 40 heads are all you have to work with unless you change to a later (41-46) block
