John Deere sickle mower

We just picked up this sickle mower. The tag has 39-xxxx so I guess this is a model 39 mower. Can anyone tell what model tractor this is setup for? Did some research and found some reference to a wide and narrow version, How do you tell which it is? Thanks for any info in advance.

We got the mower home yesterday so I decided to try mounting it on our 40T. Looks like a good fit. Next step is to try some mowing.
