Good advice on the 58 loader, how about the 721?

Thanks for the input on the 58 Loader. I'm gonna pass on it.

Another loader just popped up locally. It's a 721 currently mounted on a 4450 for $4800 with quick tach bucket and bale spear. No Joystick. A lot more money, but is it a lot more loader? He also has a Great Bend loader he said he'd compare to a 148 for $2750.

I have a power beyond block on my new-to-me 4430, so I plan on getting a joystick.

I wouldn't take the Great Bend loader... I personally don't think they were that great of a loader, although others may disagree. We have a 4440 that came with a 148 on it and ended up trading in the 148 for a 510 Koyker. I really like the Koyker loader! Built very similar to a 158. Good lift height and great bucket rollback!! Our 510 Koyker listed for around 5800 brand new on the pallet.. but you may be able to find some gently used ones out there.

I just sold a mint 4255 with a like new 721 loader that had barely been used ,I sold it with the tractor and it was priced at $4500.Anything that is not JD even if as good or better usually brings less.I had a brand new 741 loader and the net alone on pallet was over $9000.Usually nice 158s are $3500/720/$4500/725/$5000.Loaders are seasonal and sell easier if on tractor.I had a near new Koyker I got from dealer for $4000 installed as they had it for 2yrs.priced at $7000
