JD 830 2 cyl PTO clutch pack

is this clutch pack missing parts ? should there be 12 of john deere part # r-1902r clutch drive disk per the parts catalog? the parts catalog shows 2 (ar1292r) clutch plates with facing , 11 (ar1294r)clutch disk with facings , and 12 (r-1902r) clutch drive disk. bottom photo is the piece I think is missing Bill

It won't/can't work with out the steel plates..

Why do you need the steel plates? they never wear that much? Can you not use your own?

didn"t realize they were a non/slow wear item. Will see what they look like when we get it apart. Thanks, Bill

The tang on the steel disks get beat out and this causes hard engagement of the drum as well adding to the problem .You might try filing them down . I have threw hundreds of them away over the years ,dang it . of course they were much cheaper then . Hope this helps DON
