50 radiator gaskets

I just replaced the core on my radiator and it is back together sitting in the frame. I am waiting on new o-rings. I did not put any sealer on the gaskets and was wondering if I should have. Should I take it apart snd silicone those gaskets? Thanks.

I always silicone my radiator gaskets. . Plug the outlet at the bottom, pour water in it and see if it leaks. Seal w/silicone if it leaks.

I always apply gun grease to the paper radiator gaskets. I am always afraid of any sealer getting into the radiator core. I've never had one leak yet. Mike
