JD B gaskets

I restored a 41 JD B a few years ago and the gasket on the 3-way fuel valve is leaking already. Is there anything out there that I can put on the new gasket to prolong the life? Thanks.

There are newer 3 ways that work better, like from Steiner. I use the screw shut off on the bowl and tighten up the 3 way very tight and never change it.

Hey Toaster,
I gotta agree with Frank. No matter how good the three-way valves are they eventually leak. Remember they were used with Distalite fuel not our new thin gas. Put it on the main tank and tighten it up. Use a good fuel bowl with a positive screw in type shutoff. Good Luck! John
