what is reccomended engine oil for model GM

just overhauled my GM ,wondering what is recommended oil for engine, does anyone make a oil pump or repair kit for this model? has to have mine rebuilt by local machine shop .OUCH

what needs rebuilding? If worn gears you can get the same gears out of an A or B. These pumps are pretty simple. Just make sure to use correct gasket for bottom of pump. Too thin & it will bind the gears.

Pretty much anything today is likely superior to anything available back in that part of the last century. Many people would suggest Rotella T 15w40 as a great place to start.
