70 points gap

Checked the Opertor's Manual OM-R2035R on page 80 under the SPARK PLUGS topic.

"[b:654c4848f0]Check electrode gap and see that it is spaced to .030-inch.[/b:654c4848f0]

Hope this helps.

Checked the Operator's Manual OM-R2035R on page 87 under the DISTRIBUTOR topic.

"[b:654c4848f0]Adjust points to .022-inch.[/b:654c4848f0]"

My mistake; sorry about that.

Not sure why I didn"t check my owner"s manual, I guess ever since I got that service manual it"s my go-to reference. Sometimes I overlook the simple things.

I'll add my two cents just in case they come in handy: on one of my tractors, it's red, not green, I found that I couldn't set the points to factory specs, because if I did, they wouldn't close! I had to reduce the gap to about .018 inch, and that way the points would close and it would run. Of course, that is a sign that a couple of components probably need to be serviced or replaced, but for getting by with what I got, it worked just fine. Just sayin'.
