JD AMT 600 5 wheeler gator, I missed out

The original subject was "Re: JD AMT 600 5 wheeler gator, I missed out".

We own one of these (John Deere AMT 600 "five-wheeler") that we purchased at an auction in 1996. It has been a great work vehicle, but now it needs a throttle cable and I cannot find the information I need in order to order parts for it. Since many on this feed remember working with these vehicles...do you know what year it was manufactured or where I can find the serial number?
 
the AMT 600 was built from 1987 to 1990

the serial number should be at the rear right hand back side of the machine under the bed on the frame by the right tire.

The throttle cable part number is RE30918

Just FYI for you both, I have the Deere Tech manual and the parts manual in PDF files that you both are welcome to if you want them shoot me your email
