I removed the oil pump from my B to clean it, can't get the steel oil line from the pump to the head hooked back up to save my life. disconnected the right connecting rod from the crank and still can't get it lined up. can I fab an oil line from 5/16 copper so it's more flexible?

Not holding your mouth right. If it came off it'll go back, I'd recommend cut off wrenches. And you'll need to put the short bent end on first....definitely no copper....be sure you pull the wires from the mag also....don't want to loose an arm.

I ended up sending the reproduction steel line back to Sharps, it simply didn't fit or line up. the original one broke when I took the pump down. I invested in a set of stubby wrenches which were wonderful for getting the other lines on and off. curious why no copper?

hate to spend $120 on a line from Deere, at this point I would if it would fit.

got it all put back together, the OEM oil line lined up much better than the junk Sharps sent me.

a bottle jack under the pump helps to line the coupler up if anyone is thinking of trying this.
