(quoted from post at 09:04:18 06/12/14) too much grass for the 630, huh,,

She was working for sure. It is not real obvious in the video but, near the beginning I was going up a pretty steep grade. I was in some areas where the the grass was up to the "John Deere" on the side of the tractor. I had to go in 2nd gear in those places.

I use my '50 model B to cut the weeds around here.... did 6 acres last week with a 5' brush hog. Mowing is nothing like what you have.... dead weeds are only 8-10" high. I wish there was a way to adjust the stop when lowering the 3 point, so the mower would not cut so close to the ground.

Yeah, I used the "stop" on the 3-point lever, on the 630 a lot, for mowing and plowing.

yeah but, a model B does not have any kind of "stop"
on it . just a lever, you might try adjusting lift
arms on three point, shorten them so they won't
lower all the way,

Yeah, I knew the B doesn't have any stops. We have a 1942 B that we have a cutter-bar mower mounted to, that we use to mow around fence rows.

Lift arms are shop-made and can't be lengthened or made shorter. I guess that's what happens when you make your own. They are close - within 1/4 inch..
