8760 wont shut off

My 8760 is acting up. Sometimes when you shut it off it will try to stay running. I turn the key off and on a few times and it will shut off. A few times when I go to start it it will start and die and if it will stay running it will not run over 500 rpms. I start it a few times and it runs great.

Could it be the key switch or and fuel shut off solenoid? I've not been around a those models as there were none of them sold around me.

That is what I'm thinking too cumminspuller,some tines the switches can get "Fuzzy" inside ad not make good contact,, and the fuel shut off solenoid and get sticky too..a test light at the solenoid would be a good place to start..
