I was out disking with my new to me 50 I bought this weekend at a sale. New Engine, Looks nice so I went out to disk some pasture ground tnite. Made one round (took about 15 min) and all of a sudden it quit like someone turned the key off. It started twice after that but shut off before I could get back on the tractor. Its not getting spark, is it most likely a bad coil, condenser, points or all of the above? It is getting plenty of fuel

Check all the electrical connectins first. Clean and tighten them. Mine had the ones on the back of the ampmeter loose connection mysteriously like that. A few miniutes with a test light found mine.

After you look for simple things like a loose or mis connection, my Ignition Troubleshooting Procedure can help diagnose the cause of no spark.
See if theres voltage getting to the coils input with IGN switch on??

jiggle around the ignition switch see if that has any effect. Some times dirt, corrosion, grease ect on the contacts could make it act like that.
