DLTX 71 carb

1952 A. got the bowl off to do a cleaning and cant get the nozzle to come loose to clean up in there. did not take the carb off of the tractor. any suggestions on how to get that nozzle loosened up?

I made a small "slide hammer" type puller by welding a tap onto the end of 1/4" rod. A hunk of 1 1/4" shaft about 2" long drilled to 5/16 on the rod, and a tee handle welded on the other end.
Hope this helps you, although I would recommend taking the carb off the tractor.

Use a small tap and thread the bottom of the nozzle about 1/8". Take a machine screw that fits the threads and run a nut way on the threads. Now drop a washer over the screw that has a large enough outside diamater to set on the stem. Run the screw into the threads you made in the nozzle till it snugs up, now screw the nut down against the washer and it will pull the nozzle out. The threads at the bottom of the nozzle won't hurt the function of the nozzle so you can reuse it.
