I have a lady interested in selling a 1950 JD M standard. It has new rear tires, nice straight sheetmetal. 12 volt. Carb just rebuilt and tank cleaned. Has cultivators , plow, disc, sickle mower, etc. has front wheel weights. Very nice tractor and runs great. What you think it's worth and would anyone be interested? Located in Virginia. Thanks

For a working tractor you would be safe in the $2200-$2500 range for the tractor and attachments. For a restoration "correct police" piece probably a couple hundred less,no muffler, alternator instead of generator, radiator cap, incorrect paint job....

Here in Massachusetts there are a M's few for sale with those attachments ranging from $2,500 - $5,000. That is a clean looking tractor with good looking tin. New rear tires also help the value. The attachments if in good shape also help. I also see front wheel weights which fit the L series and can bring $250 +/-.

The bad would be correct police issues like stated. Paint is wrong, 12 volt conversion and was it done right, mismatched front tires, no muffler. I would say buy the muffler and radiator cap on ebay and for the $100 it will cost in parts it will surely help out the overall appeal & look of the tractor and are quick easy fixes.
