Been posting on here recently about ignition issues on a 630. Finally got it to fire, but would idle for a few minutes before dying. The gas is a couple years old but still smells good and looks good, but I decided to drain the carb anyways. What came out was pretty gunky, so I flushed it out a little bit by pushing the primer above the sediment bowl. Buttoned the carb back up and reprimed it.
Well then I went to start it. It cranked and coughed a little bit but then it fired. It kept coughing a bit and then white/gray smoke started coming out of the muffler and the connection between the exhaust manifold and exhaust pipe. Then it spewed a little oil out in that same connection and then died.
I know enough that oil should not have been there. The exhaust manifold and exhaust pipe are both heavily rusted. I am afraid that I have a much bigger problem now. Could anybody give me a rough idea of what might have happened and what now is ruined?
