Rear rim question on a 40t

I"m new with John Deere so sorry if I ask some dumb questions. I have a set of rear rims with brand new tires for a JD H. Will these work on a 40 tricycle? Any idea how much lower the rear will sit? The H rims and tires are sitting in the rear of my storage building and my wife buried them with clutter. I hated to clean out the storage barn if they don"t fit.

I'm pretty sure the H rims have a special bolt pattern. Good items to have as they will resell very well !

From looking on the net, I "think" they both have splined hubs? Not sure if that is the correct wording? I was hoping I could just slide the 40 rears off and put the H rears on? I might be way off.

The rims are totally different. The H takes a 7-bolt pattern 32 inch rim (similar to some small Massey tractors) while the 40 takes a 34" 9-bolt wheel. Mike

The H has splined axles. The 40 would have a round axle with either 1 or 2 (CRS) keyway grooves cut down the length of it.
I think the H also has 7 bolts and the 40 and about every other tractor built with pressed steel rear rims has 9 (IIRC)

Took a pair of 9.5x32 tires off "BW" our 1954 Model 40T.

These 32in. wheels have a nine bolt pattern.

We did not like the way the tractor looked with the smaller 9.5x32 tires.

"<a href="http://youtu.be/ufkD9Do7Gf8">BW</a>" now has 11.2x38 tires.

Hope this helps.

Those 9.5x32 with 9 bolt holes should fit an Oliver 60 in case you want to try and sell them.
