removed the oil pump from my '41 B to clean it. glad I did, screen was full of sludge. fun to re-install if you've never done one. anyways I don't remember disconnecting the small line coming out of the top of the pump from anything. is it just supposed to point at the crank and spray oil? I bent it re-installing the pump.

That line has to be hooked up. It is the main supply line to the lube system. A few minutes of running without it and your engine will seize.

When you put the pump back did you also put the drive coupler back on?If not you won't have any oil pressure.Ron

got the coupler lined back up and the big line connected, problem is I didn't remember unhooking the small line from anything, it just fell out with the pump. the fitting is nowhere to be found. I found a new line from Sharp's.
