Tim, one other question before we knock this thing in the head and split it. I was told to check for a stuck needle valve on the top of the rotary shift valve. There is a little line that runs from the priority valve to the top of the shift valve. Under the oring/jic elbow or inside the 90 is a little roller looking thing. Puts you in mind of a needle bearing roller. Then there was something with a spring under it that the needle would strike. The fitting was stuck and I had to work with it to get it to slide freely. I really don't understand what this line does, it is supposed to have something to do with when the C1 and C2 packs are both applied at the same time and share oil. I put it back on and the tractor and it seemed to work better. It would kill the engine in 12 gear now. Now I'm thinking I need to get a pressure guage on C1 while it is operating. Supposedly the early. 15 speeds did not have this line. Thanks for your help.
