Was out at a customers a few days ago and they said "Hey, I"ll bet you know what this is from?" Looked at it but said no idea! Just that it"s got to be fairly old and the ones that I have seen had JD then a number stamped in them usually.

Anyone recognize it? I figure the hole in the one wrench end might be unique or something to some implement?

Its a PLOW wrench, i have several diff , 51-52-53 and so on. Would rather use MODERN day tools but that is what they were issued when buying PLOWS and such.

I don't think that these old wrenches were unique to any one implement. I just found several similar wrenches in an old plow parts book, but my guess is they could have also come with a binder, planter, cultivator or who knows what else.
I think that the hole is just there to make it easer to hang on a nail.

Grandpa use to call them "Knuckle Busters"..but back then good tools were really not available, as I traveled around working on different farms I would see a lot of these old tools hanging on walls,,and you can only imagine the stories they could tell...
