Left lift cylinder on my 148 loader started leaking. Can the cylinder
be repaired with out using a hydraulic bench?

I did ours on the 158 between using the floor and workbench and even put end back in loader frame as to hold it to remove TIGHT nut on packings.

Pretty sure it was a 148, on a 4230, I helped a neighbor do the cylinders on. Seems like I recall the bucket and lift cylinders on that one taking the same kits.

My recollection is these were all snap rings. Take one off, drive gland in a little, then remove another snap ring, then use piston/rod like a slide hammer, and pull apart.

I like to work on cylinders still attached to their machine, since a good way to anchor them is often a challenge.
