3020 front steering unit hydraulic leak?

My JD 3020 (wide front) developed a very heavy hydraulic fluid leak flowing out of the bottom of the front steering unit, where the control arms attach. Would this probably be a seal failure? If so, how do I access this unit or seal. Should I have a professional do this, I tackle about anything on antique tractors, but haven't worked with power steering systems.

Your steer motor needs rebuilt, the piston seals are failing allowing more oil into the pinion area than the return line can handle, it probably darts on the road too.. you will need to drop the front axle and remove one of the side frames to repair it,, we can walk you through it if you can handle removing the front axle okay..

Thanks, Tim. The tractor doesn't dart on the road, but I haven't driven it since I noticed the leak (a pretty steady "drizzle") right after some heavy manure pile work. I didn't notice any leak before that. It has a loader on it. I haven't gone out to that ranch today to eyeball it. I'm guessing the loader might have to come off, correct?
