(quoted from post at 07:35:32 03/28/14) thats real nice but it looks like you still have a gas air cleaner on it i would get the larger one for a 4020 diesel

You must have radar vision. I can only see the "pre-cleaner & air intake stack pipe" in the photo. It's a nice looking 4020 anyway.

Did the same thing this winter wondering how you did the fan, shield and water pump? My motor came out of a 7700Turbo combine.Things were tight up front and need to deal with a bigger air cleaner. What did you use?

I helped Mike with this,, we used a flex fan from autozone the water pump off the combine and altered the front pulley to make the pump work,, I"ll post the fan part number later on..

It's a 404 from a 4430. Yes, I still have the gas aircleaner on it. I had to have the gas flywheel machined for the diesel and I used a 4320 exhaust elbow so the pipe came thru the original hood hole. Then had to make a pipe to connect it to the turbo. had to modify the throttle linkage. The gas throttle is on the wrong side and moves the wrong direction. Tim pretty much explained the rest. It was time consuming. The hood was in bad shape, it had hit something in the front and was pushed back about 6 inches. It took a lot of work. I did it all myself including paint, except for the machine work.
