I am at a loss on what to do with this thing. At 8600 hours the original engine went south on this 4450 MFWD. I was desperate to get it back in the field and was told by the local dealer that the best option was to put a new RE-MAN drop in engine. $18k later I had a gutless wonder. 1400 hours and we were pressurizing the radiator. Found 2 broken head bolts and a head that was showing severe damage from a dropped valve. (obviously damage was old and they should have scrapped this head) this time work being done by a very respected area repair shop. Another 450 hours and 11 months again pressure in the cooling system. They pulled the head today and found #5 sleeve didn't have proper stand out. What is strange is it has .003 on one side and -.0005 on the other. Any thoughts on how this could happen? I won't be buying any more ReMan engines from mother Deere.
