Question on Hydraulic/Transmission oils

Based off of CumminsDeere's post on JD oils a
little farther down. It got me curious, and I
think I have read it before, but want to know.
What oil do you guys run in the transmissions? I
have a 4020D '67 I need to do maintenance on for my
FIL and he has always used the oil from Rural King
in the past. What do you guys suggest? Thank you!

They're going to say Deere hygard as would I but if his oil has been working for him why change now?
 
Mobil 424. Hygard equivalent.

3 tractors 30000 hours. One 3020, one 4020 with 466 engine, one 4230. Only trans issue on any of them- the hi-lo in the 4230 quad range went out once.

Several more tractors with hours in the teens.

Secret, and not a big one... change filter every year, oil every other year or when you need to drain it- like if you need to change 3 point seals.
