hello,i bought a 38 fixed frontend a couple months ago...told the man i was going to put it on my 530..he said it should fit...well...i bought it...paid too much for it but i wanted it..tried to mount it this evening..took off the narrow front,38 fixed frontend bolted right up,till i tried to mount the steering arm to the pedistel.the pivit plate sets too far forward and i can't mount the steering arm.i know it has another name but i call it the steering arm..what is wrong..what does this frontend really fit..part number on the tube is b 2840 r.

The steering arm should be mounted to the steering spindle with the 2 balls facing the rear of the tractor. Is that the way you're trying to put it on?

A 38" fixed tread front axle with a B2840R casting number is for a BW starting at ser.# 201000 (mid '47). It might also be for a 50,520, or 530. A look at the parts catalog for your 530 would tell for sure.

that 38 axle will fit all 2 cylinders with split pedestal we have them on 50 60 520 530 G 730 etc,,,,,,,,check you tie rods steering arms etc something is backwards
