New Generation decals/years 6030, 7520

Hi guys looking for answers to a couple questions I have. What year and or serial number did Deere change its decals on the 6030, 7020, 7520 tractors? I have seen them with both styles and wondered if the "72 models had the "4020" style and at "73 they changed or is there a specific serial number they switched to the 30 series style. I am collecting the new gen 20 series and would like to get these models with the 20 series style decals and be appropriate for the tractor. I just bought a 7520 sunday that according to the serial number list on this site is a "72 but it has the 30 series style decal. It has been repainted did it just get updated to the new? Thanks for any help.
 
YOu had a really good topic here, seems it is a secret, though. Either that, or no-one knows!

I always thought both tractors looked better with the hood medallions instead of the long decal... however, pictures of the 6030 with hood medallions are few and far between. I do have a Furrow magazine that shows a 6030 with the 20 series look, though.
 
My take on it is this, In fall of 72" when 30 series when in production for 73 yr. , is when decal replaced JD emblem. parts catalogs show no serial # brakes for hood & emblems for 71-72 7020's or 72 6030's 7 7520's ;to know if yours were changed to decals, you could look at under side of hood for the 5 holes used to mount emblem...
 
Thank you I will have to look at the hood when I get it home. It is serial number 154 so its an early one so I would think it should have the emblems on hood and 20 series decals. I was hoping there were serial breaks so I could easily check. Guess I will just have to buy '72 models and make them what I want. Thanks again for the response.
 
Thanks for the response I was hoping someone knew as I haven't been able to find any info on my own. I think they look a lot better with the 20 series decal. Thanks Matt
