4020 Diesel

Have a friend has a 4020 with frond end loader. This tractor has not been started in over 10 yr. back tire r shot the loader is JD What would be a good price on this tractor. It's in back of the barn buried I have never been around JD. Where r the serial number located on these tractor. They started to paint this tractor and never got done. And the frame rail were busted and replaced. Thanks

scrap Iron price. Keep the loaded it maybe worth more than the tractor. My 2 cents

Value would depend on early or late model,type of fuel,over all condition,trans type and model of loader. Also location but I think from your profile your in Kentucky. SN will be to the right and above rear pto shaft that sticks straight rearward.

Salvage is around $200 a ton probably 5/6 ton.Then you go from there as fenders are easy to sell as is hood if good .Need a lot more info to help you much.

A restored 4020 diesel sold for $20,000.00 on RFD TV's Mecum
farm auction about a month ago.
