4840 trans options

At work there's 2 powershift 4840's. Boss says that they were only available with the 8-speed slam-bang powershift. A friend claims they were also available with the 4-range with the 1-2 and 3-4 powershifts (synchro-quad?). Who's right?

I believe the BOSS is correct.

4640 had an option of powershift or quadrange, but it's big brother was PS only.

Boss wins.P.S. only. 5020,6030,5020,&4320 syngro only.4520&4620 both.Hard to fiqure out why but that's the way it is.All the big 1000 only PTO tractors usually bring less than the 4440 and P.S.transmission adds no value unless in 2520/3020/4020 due to low numbers.Lately a few people have called wanting a 4020P.S.side counsel to mate to 4320 so they can have a prototype.
