Or is the "local" JD dealer spending a bunch of cash to make sure their name stays on the planter they sold? It's milled into the weights then painted. Looks to be on all 6 weights on this planter.

Any aftermarket weights Ive seen were not as heavy as DEERE so they aint getting what they paid for .

I'd bet they've had some of these suitcase weights made cheaper than what they can buy them from Deere and probably had the option of casting their logo in the side. Just a guess...

Not around here. Actually dealers are getting tight with their decals. The last couple of new things I bought did not have dealer decals. Unless it is a high dollar piece of equipment or the customer is high profile in the community the equipment will leave the dealership without the dealer's sticker never mind what you are talking about. For a lot of years dealers were pretty stingy with literature and I was never one of these guys that took one of everything out of the stand.

I'd be tempted to pull them off, rattle-bomb some old ones off the 4840 to stick on it, but it's not my planter.....

Probably a fair bit cheaper than the ones with "genuine" green paint, too?
