3055 J/D ??

What can you tell me about a 3055? I don't
see many of them around but I know of one that
appears OK & has decent price. Looking more
to a 4000 series I know they run longer but
seem start harder in cold weather.. Isn't almost
like a 2950? 359 engine.. I guess I want to know
the weakness's ..... 2wd

Decent chore tractor if it has been maintained properly. Only real weak point is the clutch if it has seen alot of loader work. Check the hydraulic filter for debris before purchase.

As previously stated dry clutch operated by a master/slave cylinders if equipped with a cab. I suggest also checking PH of engine coolant. Also check operation of hyd's at operating temp.

Pretty much the 3055 is just a big brother of the 2750

I have two 3055's both bought used years ago with low hours. They've both been very good tractors. We keep them perfect. My guys love them. As mentioned check hydraulics, coolant and oil quality. Some people can ruin a good machine in 3,000 hours and others can keep a machine beautiful for 8,000 hours. Inspect everything carefully.
