530 fuel filler pipe repair question?

I have a leak where the filler pipe is attached to the gasoline tank. What is the best way to repair this? The tank is off the tractor.
Thanks.

I have repaired gas tanks still in the vehicle with gas in them using a hot iron and solder. The trick is that the melting point of solder is lower than the flash point of gasoline. DO NOT USE a torch other than to heat the soldering iron. Fumes + Fire = Boom.
Your tank is off, so you could fill it with water up to the hole in the neck and solder it with a torch.

I agree.....hot iron and solder. No flame or we will have to read your obit. If you don't solder well, take it to a good general purpose welding and repair shop. They will do it for you.

Torch will be easier than iron. Since the tank is off flush it first then fill w/water.
