Old JD wrenches

I was at a show and picked up a 4 piece JD wrench set #50-53. What were these used for specifically? What era did they come from? I just purchased them to add to my JD memorabilia collection, but just wondering about their history.

They are usually referred to as plow wrenches but
were supplied with some other machines as well.
1930s and '40 I believe.

Bob, they were usually referred to as "John Deere knuckle skinners". I remember a neighbor getting a new B tractor in late 1941 and it came with those stamped steel end wrenches along with the flywheel offset wrench and cultivator extension socket wrench. I think you got wrenches with just about any implement too....pretty nice really. I was always impressed with all the extra stuff you got with new John Deere equipment.
