820 3 cyl no power after 10 min or use

1972 820 3 cyl. It starts fast, runs about 10 min then loose power, shuts off. Give tractor 5 min and it will start right back up and do the same over and over. Have fuel to injector pump when tractor shuts off. Any ideas?

Check to be sure fuel is returning to fuel tank via fuel return line. Diesel inj pump can't pump fuel if return line or return line fitting at the pump is plugged.

It can have a Rotodiesel pump, Stanadyne C, or a Stanadyne DB pump. If it's a DB pump - it's likely the plastic governor dampener has fallen apart.

Return to tank was the issue. The line was open but there is a check valve built into the fitting at the pump. This value had hung shut not letting the fuel flow. Thanks for the help
