JD 2010 Ignition switch wiring

can anyone tell me which wire goes where on the ignition switch. Some one tried to wire a garden tractor switch in and it didn"t work. I ordered the correct AR26528 switch and don"t have a service manual.

It"s the gasoline engine, the tag on the side of the engine is missing, so I have no idea what year it is.

This is the most informative parts schematic I could find. It's not great but it's better than a poke in the eye. I don't have access to a 2010 tech manual.

I have entire Electrical Section of SM-2035, JD 2000 Series Tractors, scanned into a Pdf file ready to email to you. Section is way too large to attach to this post as a photo. There are several different wiring schematics depending on model (RC, RCU or HC) and S/N. With each schematic is a complete wire description list identifying wire color and what it connects to. My email is open.

One side of the resistor is "I" the other is "F",
other terminals "S", "L", and the one in the center
has no label on it.

I should have posted this a long time ago. Bob thank you so much for the Electrical chapter. I was a finally able to get the tractor running off of the drawing. I completely un-wired the lighting wiring as something was not wired correctly or the switch was bad. I replaced the ignition switch with the correct one and installed a new coil. She didn't want to start at first, but with the help of some tractor crack (propane) into the carb she came to life. The engine ran great at idle and moved right up to full throttle. It would not stumble when adjusting the high load setting or when messing with the idle mixture. Yesterday I pulled the carb down and am in process of cleaning it up for rebuild. The tractor is the yellow industrial with a 720 loader on front and the 95 backhoe on the back. It does not have the three point hydraulics, so the only thing the hydraulics should be running is lubrication of the gears and the power steering.

I envy you guys with the Ag tractor because I would love to have the ability to plow and use other implements. I know the hydraulics are not the best on the 2010 but wonder if the problem was more contamination by dirt and water causing blockages and high wear.

The Brake son mine a seized so that's another project down the road.

Bob I don't know if you're still active in this forum or not, and I do realize this is an old thread, but I sure would like to have a copy of that schematic. I have the 2010, serial number plate is 2010RU13460
Can you send it to my email?

Thanks!
