2640 Hydraulics

I have a 2640 John Deere that started making a lot of noise at first I thought it was in the rear end but I think it is the hydraulic pump and the noise is being transmitted throught the steel lines. The hydraulics seem to work ok but it seems to take a while for the fluid to get pumped into the system to activate the loader hydraulics after a while it seems to quiet down. Any comments or ideas what I need to look at to fix the problem would be apreciated.

Have you been following the service manual's instruction of hydraulic service?
What kind of loader valve?
Where are the loader hydraulics tapped into the tractor?
Hydraulic oil level?

hydraulics for the loader are taped into the outlet off the filter. Level of oil is good Loader is run by joystick type cotrol
